SUMMER CAMP: July 8 week – Quilt as You Go- MINKY!! - $325
The quilt-as-you-go-technique simplifies quilting for beginners because it is an easy way to join quilted pieces by domestic machine. One advantage of this method is that it saves time. Students work at their own pace while completing the quilt project in smaller, manageable stages.
PLUS: we will be using super soft MINKY because who doesn’t love the soft, plush feeling of minky fabric? This class also includes one-on-one guidance on machine binding. The camp is geared for those entering 3rd grade and older. Prior sewing experience is recommended. Participants will go home with a completed, one-of-a-kind quilt. This masterpiece will be a lap size!
Note regarding safety in the sewing studio:
Although not common, injuries can occur from using sharp tools, use of irons and sewing machine needle. We speak a lot about safe practices in the studio to help prevent injuries as much as possible, but they can happen. Please be sure to speak with your child about safety by being respectful of the tools and the importance of following the rules at the studio. Now, let’s have fun!!
